The National Youth Orchestra of Ireland is committed to a child-centered approach in our work with children and young people. We undertake to provide a safe environment and experience, where the welfare of the child/young person is paramount.
NYOI adheres to the National Vetting Bureau (Children and Vulnerable Persons) Acts 2012 to 2016. Anyone who works with NYOI, from tutors and conductors to seasonal and office staff, is Garda vetted.
NYOI also has a Child Welfare Policy which details a Code of Behaviour for players and staff. A copy of the Child Welfare Policy can be inspected at the NYOI office during office hours. Please contact us if you wish to do so.
